The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, commented on the appointment of Vasyl Malyuk as the head of the Security Service of Ukraine and Ihor Klymenko as the Minister of Internal Affairs.

He emphasized that these are people with great experience.

He said this on February 7 during his address to Ukrainians.

"The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the new head of the Security Service of Ukraine on my proposal. I believe that this very path of appointment to the position is a signal for all government officials and employees of our law enforcement agencies. Vasyl Malyuk was acting SBU for some time, he passed the test of war and has proven its effectiveness," Zelenskyy said.

The president also commented on the appointment of Ihor Klymenko as the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"Thank you to the People's Deputies for appointing Ihor Klymenko to the position of Minister of Internal Affairs. It is important that the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which is an element of the general system of defense and security, quickly enough received a leader who, together with everyone, went through the path of protecting our state from the first minutes of a full-scale invasion. Now we have people who have gained the experience of such a war. They have clear results in their work for the state, which fights for its people and for its independence. There should be more such people in positions of various levels in central and local authorities," said Volodymyr Zelensky

The Ukrainian leader emphasized that the heads of the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions have become people who have experience in protecting the state.

"The relevant appointments have been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regional administrations will be headed by experts who have real experience of protecting the state right now," the president explained.

We will remind that on Tuesday, February 7, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed the heads of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Cabinet of Ministers also approved new heads of three military administrations.
