, expressed his condolences regarding the powerful earthquake that occurred in the southeast of Turkey and offered help in overcoming the consequences.  

The head of state wrote about this on Twitter.

"I express my condolences to President Erdoğan, the Turkish people and the families of the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and I wish a speedy recovery to all the victims. We support the people of Turkey in this difficult time. We are ready to provide the necessary assistance to overcome the consequences of the disaster," the message reads.

According to the latest data, more than 300 people have died, and the search for the missing continues under the rubble.

The country has declared a level four alert, which includes a call for international assistance.

Gaziantep Governor Davut Gul said that 531 buildings were destroyed throughout the city after the earthquake.

According to the US Geological Survey, this earthquake is considered the strongest in Turkey since 1939.
