Mykhailo Podolyak

, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine

, said that long-range missiles and attack aircraft are priority military aid for Ukraine from Western partners.

On the air of "1+1" as part of a nationwide telethon, Podolyak commented on the negotiations on providing Ukraine with new weapons:

"

We will receive long-range missiles - they are in the package that the United States provides us

. But it is 150 km, so we continue to talk about long-range missiles that operate at a distance of 200-300 km.

The second component - very intensive negotiations are underway regarding aviation

".

According to him, Ukraine needs attack aircraft at this stage of the war.

"When you go on a counteroffensive, in order to protect and cover your guys from above, your armored vehicles, which will break through, you need attack aircraft, which will be like a tank - to destroy everything from the sky, to pour fire on it, because you need a lot to destroy Russian equipment, manpower and so on. That's why the A-10 is an attack aircraft. Of course there are effective fighters like the F-16 that are used for interception and for attack operations. They are a key aircraft in many countries.

So we will conduct negotiations specifically regarding the F-16, attack aircraft, attack helicopters such as Apache, and so

on. This is all on the negotiation table today," said the adviser to the head of the OPU.

As Podolyak noted, Western partners, as in the situation with the supply of tanks, "are trying to observe some caution", although today it no longer makes sense.

"We talk about everything both publicly and not publicly at various platforms.

And we get the maximum range of weapons

. These are air defense systems and tanks, including Abrams, additional Javelins, Stingers, 155-caliber projectiles, Hymers ", howitzers, barrel artillery. And now we are already receiving long-range missiles, we will talk about ATACMS or analogs, we will talk about F-16 or attack aircraft, including rotorcraft," he listed.

We will remind that on February 5, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov announced the provision of aircraft from Western partners to Ukraine.

According to him, "there will be planes, the only question is which ones."

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz declared the existence of a consensus regarding the non-use of Western weapons by Ukraine on the territory of the Russian Federation.

However, the Verkhovna Rada considers all Russian military facilities to be legitimate targets for strikes by Ukraine.
