Indian Navy achieved a historic milestone.

A historic milestone was achieved by the Indian Navy on Monday in the direction of self-reliant India.

Navy pilots successfully land Light Combat Aircraft LCA (Navy) on INS Vikrant.

Demonstrates India's capability to design, develop, build and operate an indigenous aircraft carrier with indigenous fighter aircraft.

Let us inform that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inducted the country's first indigenously built aircraft carrier (IAAC) into the Navy on September 2.

The aircraft carrier was received by the Indian Navy from CSL on July 28 after successfully completing the fourth and final phase of sea trials.

Fighter jets have been brought to the aircraft carrier.

It is ready to operate MiG-29K fighter aircraft, Kamov-31 helicopters and MH-60R multi-role helicopters.

With the delivery of 'Vikrant', India has joined a select group of countries that have the capability to design and build an indigenous aircraft carrier.

Designed by the Directorate of Naval Design (DND), a branch of the Indian Navy, the aircraft carrier was built by the public sector company CSL.
