New Delhi :

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has taken care of special people in this budget.

This is visible in the budget for VIP security.

The budget of every department which is associated with such a unit has been increased.

If we look at the financial year 2023-24, it is known that among the agencies related to VIP security, the maximum budget has been increased by the SPG related to the security of the Prime Minister.

After this comes the number of CRPF, which gives Z plus and Z category security to many important people.

About fifty jawans in Z plus security and about forty in Z security are always deployed for the security of VIPs.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has got Z plus category security.

The government is spending about Rs 1.5 lakh daily on his security, which means about Rs 50 lakh a month.

However, Rahul Gandhi is not the only leader on whom so much is being spent.

CRPF provides security of different categories to 129 people in total.

Most of the Z and Z plus category security is given by this force to the important people.

According to the statistics of the Union Home Ministry, at present the CRPF gives Z+ category security to 21 people and Z category to 26 people.

A senior official told NDTV India, “At present 6 battalions of CRPF are associated with VIP security.

Means about 6000 soldiers and all their expenses come from the category of VIP security.

The Finance Ministry has passed a budget of Rs 31,772 crore for CRPF in this session this year.

If officials are to be believed, out of this, more than 774 crores have been given for VIP security.

According to the Union Home Ministry, after CRPF, the one who has maximum Z category security is CISF.

According to the ministry's data, at present CISF provides security to 144 people, in which 9 people are in Z+ category and 11 people are in Z category.

After this, ITBP, SSB and NSG provide Z plus and Z category security to around 70 people.

An official said, “On an average, Z Plus costs Rs 50 lakh and Z costs Rs 40 lakh per month.”

In this year's budget, Rs 433 crore has been approved for SPG.

Last year the budget of SPG was 411 crores.

It is also important to mention here that the SPG now provides security only to the Prime Minister, that is, the government spends Rs 36 crore a month on providing security to the Prime Minister.

An official said, “The Prime Minister is the head of state and he is also at risk of all kinds.

In such a situation, 1.18 crore rupees are spent everyday for the issues related to their security.
