National Taiwan Normal University announced this news today, stating that Gao Xingjian is a Chinese literary artist who has won the highest honor in the French honor tradition for more than 200 years.

Wu Zhengji, president of National Taiwan Normal University, said that since 2012, Gao Xingjian has served as a chair professor of the Institute of Performing Arts of National Taiwan Normal University.
