Police said on Sunday that two people have been arrested for gang-raping a minor girl who was found unconscious in Dibrugarh.

The SP told reporters that "two men were arrested for gang-raping a 14-year-old girl in Dibrugarh. The accused have been identified as Bhaijaan Ali and Safar Ali. The minor girl was found near Athabari tea garden She was found unconscious."

The SP also told that action will be taken against the accused under Section 376 of the POCSO Act 2012.

He added that "her hands and feet were tied with a rope, and it is suspected that she was gang-raped. She was missing since February 3. The accused will be prosecuted under Section 376 of the POCSO Act, 2012."
