While the maximum and minimum temperature is expected to be around 25 and 10 degree Celsius respectively.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), it will be sunny in most areas of the country today and the temperature will rise.

Northwest India is likely to get "normal" rains in February.

Chances of cold wave are less.

The IMD said that the minimum temperature is likely to be normal to below normal in most parts of the country except the northeast and adjoining eastern parts.

Average February rainfall is likely to be normal in North-West India this year. 

A new Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan region from tonight.

Under its influence, light to moderate rain and snowfall are likely over Jammu and Kashmir.

Light to moderate rain and snowfall are expected in Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh on 5 and 6 February and in Uttarakhand on 6 February.
