[Reporter Lu Yixuan/Taipei Report] Mikko Kärnä, chairman of the Taiwan Friendship Group of the Finnish Parliament, will visit Taiwan today.

Kellner has publicly supported Taiwan many times, including supporting Taiwan to become a World Health Organization (WHO) observer and emphasizing that Taiwan is a country.

In addition to the official visit itinerary, Kellner will also visit the Hsinchu Science Park, go south to visit Weiwu Camp and Kaohsiung Port, etc.

Kellner arrived in Taiwan this morning and will lead a delegation to visit Taiwan from February 5th to 9th. Liu Tuojin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Taiwan American Affairs Committee, picked him up at the airport.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Chairman Kellner is an important international friend of our country and firmly supports Taiwan's freedom, democracy and international participation.

This is the first visiting delegation to the Finnish Parliament after the outbreak of the epidemic, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its sincere welcome.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the visiting delegation of the Finnish Parliament Friendship Group will meet with President Tsai Ing-wen, Secretary General of the National Security Council Gu Lixiong and Foreign Minister Wu Zhaoxie, and receive a banquet hosted by Minister of Foreign Affairs Li Chun.
