His words were in response to publications in German media, according to which several NATO countries are not honoring their promises to provide "Leopard 2" tanks to Ukraine.

The publications in question also say that Poland wants to deliver the tanks without the necessary additional crew training, Polish pro-government news site TVP.info said, citing German magazine Spiegel.

Polish news agency PAP reported yesterday that Blaszczak had traveled to Kyiv to discuss plans to deliver the tanks.

Blaszczak said that Ukrainian soldiers are already being trained in his country to work with them.

Although it is not yet possible to say exactly how long the suspension will take, the Polish minister indicated that "it is not a question of days or months", but of "weeks".

Meanwhile, today British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak informed Volodymyr Zelensky in a telephone conversation that Ukrainian military personnel are already being trained in Great Britain to work with the British "Challenger 2" tanks, adds DPA.
