The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov commented on the rumors about his resignation.

He noted that such a decision is made by the President of Ukraine.

"No official is in the chair forever. Not one. The decision whether to be the Minister of Defense or not is made by one person - the Supreme Commander and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, according to the Constitution. He submits a proposal for appointment, and the Verkhovna Rada appoints. Therefore, only by decision President of Ukraine, I will make certain decisions, and then I will do what the head of state suggests to me," Reznikov said.

Oleksiy Reznikov emphasized that if he is fired, he will support his successor and, if necessary, provide him with advice and consultations. 

It will be recalled that People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported that Oleksiy Reznikov may be dismissed from the post of Minister of Defense of Ukraine, and Kyryll Budanov, who is currently the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, be appointed in his place.
