Case registered against Swami Prasad Maurya in Delhi

New Delhi:

A complaint has been filed in Delhi against Swami Prasad Maurya, National General Secretary of Samajwadi Party and senior leader of Uttar Pradesh.

The whole matter is related to Ramcharitmanas.

In the past, Swami Prasad Maurya had given a statement regarding Ramcharitmanas, about which there was a lot of controversy later.

Now this complaint has been filed in Delhi regarding his same statement.

According to the information received from the Delhi Police, a complaint has been lodged against Swami Prasad Maurya at the Paschim Vihar police station in Delhi.

Mahadev Sena president Pankaj Nanda has given a complaint against Maurya.

Nanda alleges that Ramcharitmanas has been insulted because of Maurya's statement.

At present, the police have started investigating the matter by registering a complaint.

Let us inform that a few days back, after Swami's statement, there were reports of tearing or burning of copies of Ramcharitmanas from many places.

Some of its videos also went viral.

After this there were protests against him.

AIR was also registered.

There was also an appeal to boycott the SP.

Meanwhile, a Mahant of Ayodhya had also put a reward of 21 lakh rupees on cutting off the head of Swami Prasad.

NDTV had an exclusive conversation with Swami Prasad Maurya in this whole matter.

Maurya had claimed during this time that not a single copy of Ramcharitmanas was torn or burnt anywhere.

Is it justified to tear and burn texts in the name of protest?

In response to this question, SP General Secretary Swami Prasad Maurya had said that I just want to say that any religion is for human welfare.

Human beings are meant for Sanskritization.

He had said that the first thing I should tell is that no copy of Ramcharitmanas was neither torn nor burnt.

Whatever video of copy burning has come to the fore, it was actually the slogans written on the placards.

Some forces are trying to suppress this issue.

The matter is being twisted.

When did you start feeling that the things written in Ramcharitmanas are anti-women or unfair and should be opposed?

Why did you choose this time to protest?

Swami Prasad Maurya had said that I had left Allahabad University in 1989.

Since then I am engaged in political work.

From public forums, I have been continuously opposing the hypocrisy in the guise of religion and such facts which were presented in the form of insulting my own religious people.

I have strongly opposed this topic hundreds of times in public forums.

It is another matter that for the first time it is being discussed in international forums and politics.

If positive discussion is going on, then it is likely to bring positive and pleasant results.
