Maoists killed BJP leader Neelkanth Kakkem

Bijapur:

In Chhattisgarh's Naxal-affected Bijapur, Maoists killed BJP Mandal President Neelkanth Kakkem with a sharp weapon.

According to the police, Usur Block Mandal President Neelkanth Kakkem had gone to Penkaram village to prepare for his sister-in-law's marriage.

That's why 3 Maoists in simple disguise reached his house with axes and sharp weapons and killed Neelkanth Kakkem in front of his family.

Then all the Naxalites returned to the forest.

Neelkanth Kakkem, a close aide of former minister Mahesh Gagda, was the Usur block president for the last 15 years.

Kakkam had a strong hold in the area.

Bijapur SP Anjay Vaishnav says.

Kakkam was on the target of Maoists, inputs were received about the attack on them, so they were told not to go in the hinterland.

The police is investigating the case, who are the Naxalites involved in this case.

And they will be arrested soon.
