Madhya Pradesh Police has arrested 3 more members of the banned PFI on charges of 'conspiracy against the government'.

The Madhya Pradesh Police has arrested three members of the banned organization Popular Front of India (PFI) on charges of conspiring against the government and indulging in illegal activities.

An official gave this information on Sunday.

Along with this, the police have detained four members of the banned organization in the last few days.

In the latest action, two PFI members were arrested in Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal on Saturday, while the third was arrested from Aurangabad (Maharashtra) after being brought on production warrant.

He told that the three accused have been identified as Ghulam Rasool Shah (37) of Dhar district, Sajid Khan alias Ghulam Nabi (56) resident of Indore and Parvez Khan (30) resident of Aurangabad.

They were booked under sections 121A (conspiracy to wage war against the government), 153B (claims prejudicial to national integration) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code, besides provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act Is.

The official said that Parvez Khan was in a jail in Aurangabad and was brought to Bhopal on Saturday on a production warrant.

The official said that Parvez Khan was associated with the PFI since 2017 and had come to Madhya Pradesh as a Physical Endurance (PE) instructor of the banned organization to impart training on several occasions.

He said that Ghulam Rasool was an active member of PFI and used to visit different areas of the state to inspire people to work for the organization.

The official said that Ghulam Nabi was looking after the financial management of PFI in Madhya Pradesh.

All the three accused were produced in the local court, from where they were sent on police remand till February 8.

Earlier on Friday, the police arrested PFI official Wasid Khan (26), a resident of Sheopur, in the same case.

The official said that Wasid Khan joined the National Confederation of Human Rights Organisation, the legal wing of the PFI, in 2019 and held the post of state general secretary.
