The head of the "Wagner" PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, denied the propagandists' reports about the alleged retreat of defenders of Ukraine from the city of

Bakhmut

in the Donetsk region.   

The corresponding message appeared in his Telegram channel.

"I am clarifying the situation. The Armed Forces are not retreating anywhere. The Armed Forces are fighting to the last," Prigozhin said.

According to him, "in the northern quarters of Artemivsk (Bakhmuta - ed.), there are fierce battles for every street, every house, every landing."

Prigozhin emphasized that the retreat of Ukrainian forces "does not take place in the northern, southern, or eastern quarters."

Russian propagandists spread the news about the alleged "withdrawal of the Armed Forces" from the "northern quarters" of Bakhmut.

The situation in Bakhmut

On Saturday, February 4, the Russian invaders attacked
