After a dispute with his wife in Bhadohi's Koirauna police station area, the husband allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself under the influence of alcohol.

The matter came to light on Friday late evening.

Inspector-in-charge (SHO) of Koirauna police station Brijesh Kumar Maurya said that Kunwar Bahadur Singh (42) was addicted to liquor in Ithara village and his wife Bindu Devi along with their four children had attended a wedding at her sister's house. Had gone four days before attending.

Maurya told that Kunwar Bahadur Singh was drinking continuously while he was alone in the house for four days and on Friday evening when his wife and children returned, he started quarreling with her, on which his wife told him that he should now go to call the police. Has been

The station in-charge told that on hearing this, Kunwar locked himself inside a room and hanged himself.

He told that on getting the information, he was taken out by breaking the door, by then he had died.

Maurya told that further legal action is being taken.
