The mainland promotes the increase of destinations to resume cross-strait tourism

The Taiwan Affairs Office of the Mainland State Council recently called on us to restore 16 cross-strait destinations. The Ministry of Communications also expressed its welcome to mainland passengers. However, the current passenger load factor of cross-strait routes is less than 50%, and we are worried about the poor load factor.

Tourists said that the low passenger load rate of the four destinations in mainland China is mainly due to the absence of tourists. It is not a problem to reach 1 million mainland tourists coming to Taiwan this year. The premise is to fully open up and reciprocate. Prohibiting tour groups will make it very difficult to achieve the goal. We call on Taiwan to allow mainland group tourists to come to Taiwan. However, if the mainland continues to prohibit group visits to Taiwan, it is empty talk to say that it is open.
