The deficit in the power system has hardly changed from the level of the previous days and is significant.

Consumption limits have been set for each region.

Ukrenergo reported this on February 3.

"Two units at the thermal power plants have been put into operation, but one has been taken out for emergency repairs. The available amount of generated electricity is distributed to ensure the processes necessary for the operation of energy and critical infrastructure (water channels, boiler houses, hospitals), as well as to cover the needs of industry and the population. Network restrictions are maintained only in Odesa region," Ukrenergo reported.

It is noted that as a result of Russian missile and drone attacks, power plants (generating capacities) and the high-voltage network were damaged.

13 missile and 15 drone attacks caused significant damage to high-voltage network facilities and power plants.

As a result, electricity production at power plants that continue to operate cannot fully cover consumption.

As a result, consumption limits have been extended to all regional energy companies.

It should be noted that each oblastenergo in its region draws up schedules of scheduled hourly outages on its own, which must ensure consumption of the region at the level of the proven limit.

As of the morning of February 3, no limits were exceeded, emergency shutdowns were not applied.

Ukrenergo also said that in the past day, on February 2, the enemy carried out a massive artillery shelling of energy infrastructure in the Kharkiv, Kherson, Sumy, Zaporizhzhya, and Donetsk regions.

The situation after shelling in the Kherson region is particularly difficult.

Due to significant damage, some objects in the neighboring Mykolaiv region were also de-energized.

Despite this, the repair teams of NEC "Ukrenergo" managed to restore the functionality of key equipment at several substations in the east and south of Ukraine.
