The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention without bail for a teacher suspected of torturing pupils of an orphanage in the Kyiv region.
This was reported by the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
They reminded that the day before this woman was informed of the suspicion of torturing two children.
For this, she faces up to 6 years in prison.
The investigators found out that the suspect, by agreement with the guardian, performed the duties of a teacher in an orphanage.
Between her and the two children, misunderstandings arose from time to time
, because the latter did not follow the rules of residence established by the teacher.
The day before, the suspect called an 11-year-old girl to one of the rooms of the orphanage and
hit her at least 25 times with her palm
on different parts of her body.
In addition, in order to intimidate other pupils, the suspect
beat a 9-year-old girl on the legs with a stick.
It is noted that the woman caused the children physical pain, moral suffering and physical injuries.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
We will remind, the day before, the police reported that 19 children were being raised in an orphanage in Fastiv region (Kyiv region).
After it became known about the incident with the teacher, they were all removed and taken to the hospital.
It is known that cut wounds were found on the body of a 9-year-old pupil of the orphanage.
