[Reporter Zhang Xiesheng/Nantou Report] In order to strengthen disaster prevention preparations for landslides and large-scale landslides, the Bureau of Soil and Water Conservation of the Council of Agriculture recently announced that there are 1,731 streams with potential landslide potential and 43 potential areas with large-scale landslides in Taiwan this year. Nantou County is still The counties and cities with the most landslide potential streams have 262 streams in the whole county, and there are also 3 large-scale landslide potential areas. People should not take it lightly.

This year, the new adjustment of land-rock flow potential streams in Taiwan and the review and update of land-rock flow warning values. After reviewing and confirming by inviting relevant units, experts and scholars, the update of land-rock flow potential streams in Taiwan has added 2 new ones, a total of 1731, distributed in 17 counties and cities , 690 villages in 159 townships, towns, cities, and districts. Relevant information has been published on the Landslide Disaster Prevention Information Network, so that governments at all levels and the public can inquire in real time to learn about landslide potential streams and large-scale collapse potential areas across Taiwan.

Among them, Nantou County is still the county with the most landslide potential streams, as many as 262, and there are three other large-scale landslide potential areas, which are located in Lushan, Elite Village, Renai Township, Jiufen Ershan, Nangang Village, Guoxing, and newly added this year. In order to prevent the occurrence of large-scale casualties such as the Morakot disaster that caused the flooding of Xiaolin Village, the Bureau has established a large-scale landslide potential area warning Release the mechanism and assist the local government to develop evacuation and refuge plans, keep inventories, and guide the community to independently prevent disasters. This year, regular disaster prevention and preparation meetings will be held to supervise the local governments to update the evacuation and refuge plans before the flood season in May, and to accurately grasp the landslides within their jurisdiction.
