A Russian propaganda blogger, who spreads fakes and disinformation about the war in Ukraine and praises the occupiers in the WarGonzo project on YouTube, was declared suspicious in absentia.

The name of the suspect has not been officially released, but it is known that the founder of this propaganda project is the so-called "military blogger" Semyon Pegov, who received an award from the hands of the president of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin.

This was reported on Friday, February 3, in the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

The law enforcement officers noted that the suspect justifies the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the occupation of the territories of our country in video materials and other appeals.

In addition, he is the curator of several propaganda projects, the activities of which are aimed at overthrowing the constitutional order in Ukraine.

"He repeatedly illegally entered the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, held "working meetings" and interviewed the so-called leaders of the pseudo-republics "LPR/DPR" and other representatives of the self-proclaimed authorities," the report says.

The Prosecutor General's Office also recalled that the suspects received state awards at the highest political and military level of the Russian Federation, in particular, personally from the president of the aggressor state, Vladimir Putin.

In October last year, after stepping on a landmine, Semen Pegov was wounded in the leg in Donetsk region, as a result part of his leg was amputated.

Since January 15, 2023, it has been under sanctions of the National Security Council for anti-Ukrainian activities

According to the OGP report, Semyon Pegov is suspected of justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorifying its participants (Part 2 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of this article provides up to five years of restriction or deprivation of liberty.

It will be recalled that in the temporarily occupied Melitopol of the Zaporizhzhia region, "Kadyrivets" raped a Russian propagandist from the NTV channel and beat the operator.
