Bengaluru:

Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah on Friday alleged that some mischievous elements have written letters in his name to the party high command.

By doing this, those people want to create a rift between me and the high command.

To this, Siddaramaiah tweeted, "The letter has been leaked with the intention of creating confusion among the workers about our party, which is on the way to victory in the next elections."

Siddaramaiah wrote, "I am confident that the Gandhi family can lead the party to success."

Siddaramaiah was not part of the concluding Bharat Jodo Yatra in Srinagar, which fueled speculation amid a rumored rift between the former CM and Congress state chief DK Shivakumar over ticket distribution for the upcoming assembly polls. In the letter addressed to AICC President Sonia Gandhi, Siddaramaiah said that differences on tickets would lead to rebellion in the party ranks.

Sharing a copy of the alleged letter, Siddaramaiah tweeted, "I have not written any such letter.

They have stooped to the lowest level like their leaders.

"I am going to file a police complaint and am sure the culprits behind this will be found and punished," he said.

He further alleged that the letter was sent in his name with malicious intent to spoil the relationship between him and the KPCC president.

He said that a fake letter is being circulated in my name.

Some miscreants did this with the malicious intention of spoiling the relationship between me and the KPCC president.

I want to clarify that I have nothing to do with this letter.
