The European Union will strengthen its activities in the direction of the use of frozen assets of Russia in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

APA reports that this was mentioned in the joint statement of EU Council President Charles Michel, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after the 24th EU-Ukraine summit.

"In accordance with EU legislation and international law, the EU will strengthen its activities in the direction of using frozen assets of Russia to support the reconstruction of Ukraine and for compensation purposes," the statement said.
