[Reporter Cai Zongxian/Pingtung Report] Recently, the cold current has hit, and the Hengchun Peninsula, which is like spring all the year round, has also felt the power of this cold current. Many elders living alone in rural areas can only use old clothes as quilts to keep warm. Hengchun Christian Hospital (referred to as Henderson) launched a warm quilt collection campaign, which reached the standard within a day, and relayed it to the hands of Du Lao, so that the elders can feel warm and full of love in the cold winter.

Henderson launched a campaign to collect duvets called "Catch the Freeze‧Warm a Quilt" yesterday morning. The public learned that many elderly people living alone and cases were unable to seek physical and mental warmth due to the sudden drop in temperature. The fundraising was successful, and we saw the warm love of the people.

After Henderson raised funds, it immediately cooperated with local restaurants and bedding companies in Hengchun, and selected colors and materials according to the needs and comfort of the elders. The duvets were successively distributed to the elders who are alone in the mountainous area of Hengchun Peninsula.

Ah Rongbo, who lives in Jiupeng District, told social workers after receiving the quilt that he could only use his old clothes as quilts to keep warm during the cold weather, and would add an extra one when the weather was cold, "but now with this A quilt, no longer afraid of being too cold to fall asleep at night!"

Huang Jianrong, president of Henderson, expressed his gratitude to the general public for their warm love. This time, nearly 200 sets of duvet sets were raised in total.

The people sent warm charcoal fires in the cold winter, making Taiwan's marginal and disadvantaged families extremely warm, and the acts of kindness made us really feel that Taiwanese society is full of warmth everywhere.

Hengchun Christian Hospital launched a warm-up campaign.
