Law enforcement officers have completed the investigation of the case against the ex-head of the State Fiscal Service

Roman Nasirov

and his adviser.

Both of them are suspected of receiving a bribe, the amount of which is 722 million hryvnias.

This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. 

The investigation established that during 2015-2016, the head of the SFS received more than 722 million hryvnias of illegal benefits for his own benefit and for the benefit of third parties.

The owner of the agrarian holding companies gave a bribe for the reimbursement of VAT in an accelerated mode.

It is noted that the funds were calculated in foreign currency - 5.5 million dollars and 21 million euros, through a number of companies.

They were registered abroad and belonged to the owner of one of the agricultural holdings.

The ex-official withdrew money through non-resident enterprises.

Control over their activities was carried out directly by Nasirov, his adviser and relatives.

"For the transfer of funds between the specified legal entities under the guise of granting and receiving loans or supplying products, the suspects also involved other intermediary companies registered outside of Ukraine. At the same time, part of the funds of such unlawful benefit was formed directly from the funds of the budget VAT refund, converted in foreign currency," said the message of the SAP.

Nasirov's actions are qualified under part 4 of Art.

368 of the Criminal Code - "bribery of a person who provides public services."

His adviser - according to Part 5 of Art.

27, Part 4 of Art.

368. The investigation into the owner of the agricultural holding is currently ongoing.

Let us recall that Roman Nasirov was detained on suspicion of corruption in 2017.

Later, he allegedly had health problems, and therefore was treated for some time at Feofana.

At the beginning of 2018, the Cabinet of Ministers

dismissed the head of the SFS from his post.

In November 2019, 

VAKS began considering the case against Nasirov

However, just last year in October, Nasirov was arrested with the possibility of bail in the amount of 523.2 million hryvnias.
