The photo of well-known Kannada cinema actor Kiccha Sudeep with a Congress leader is going viral, fueling speculation about his joining politics ahead of the Karnataka elections.

Assembly elections are to be held in Karnataka later this year.

Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar met Kannada actor Kiccha Sudeep at his residence in Bengaluru on Friday.

After this meeting, the photo of DK Shivkumar and Kiccha Sudeep is going viral. 

However, neither the actor nor DK Shivakumar has confirmed anything about Kiccha Sudeep's entry into politics during this meeting.

But DK Shivakumar has been seen continuously campaigning for the Karnataka elections for a few days. 

Congress has also not made any specific comment regarding this meeting.

Sources told NDTV that it was just a courtesy meeting from D Shivakumar's side.

According to sources, DK Shivkumar can present Kiccha Sudeep as a star campaigner for the Congress in this election. 

The Congress is once again engaged in every possible effort to return to power.

In such a situation, he is not in the mood to leave any stone unturned in this assembly elections. 

Significantly, Kiccha Sudeep had come into limelight last year after a debate on social media with Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan.

Ajay Devgan had called Hindi as the national language during that time.

Only after this a debate broke out between the two actors.
