Haryana News: Citing an alleged obscene video of a retired officer in Gurugram, Haryana, cyber criminals cheated him of six lakh rupees.

The police gave this information on Friday.

According to the complaint given by the Civil Line area resident and retired Haryana government official, on January 30, he received a call, claiming that the call was made by YouTube.

The complainant said that soon after the first call, he received a call from another number and the caller claimed that he had a video of him in an objectionable position with a girl.

The complainant said, “I denied many times, but they threatened to upload that video on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and tag my family, relatives and friends.

I got scared and sent Rs 6,10,000 to the bank account given by the caller.'' He said the cyber criminals approached the police demanding more money.

In-charge of cyber crime station Amit Kumar said that the investigation of the case is going on and the phone numbers from which the calls were made are being traced.
