Eduard Lobau

gained fame in Belarus

in 2010, when he was arrested a day before the presidential elections together with his Young Front associate

Zmitr Dashkevich

.

As a result, Eduard was sentenced to 4 years in prison.

He served his sentence in the "Wolf's Dens" colony near Ivacevichi.

He was released after fully serving his term.

He categorically refused to write a request for pardon.

"Came out of the trench with a machine gun"

In 2015, Lobov went to war in Ukraine.

First, he served in the "Right Sector" battalion, then in the 8th separate special purpose regiment in Khmelnytskyi.

Recently, together with the "Black Zaporozhets" brigade, he was staying in the White Church.

During the war, Eduard was a shooter with a grenade launcher and the American Javelin portable anti-tank missile system.

The Ukrainian warrior Ivan "Coyote", who was in the same battle with Lobov, says that the Belarusian was an absolute virtuoso in shooting from a grenade launcher.

"It was like he was playing Angry Birds, it turned out so well.

But I did better with Javelin, so we complemented each other well," says "Coyote".

Ivan was wounded a couple of hours before Eduard died.

It was Lobov's actions that saved the life of a Ukrainian soldier.

"The Russians landed a landing party not far from his position.

Eduard got out of the trench and calmly shot them all with single shots from the machine gun.

At first we talked about the five enemies killed by him, but then we found fifteen corpses of Russian soldiers near that place," says Eduardo's brother, Belarusian

Aleksandar Malchanov

.

It was Lobov's actions that made it possible to evacuate the "Coyote" from the battlefield.

"A very proper man"

Lobov was mortally wounded by a fragment of a tank shell when the Belarusian was shooting at a tank with a Javelin.

It was close combat, they could not make a quick evacuation.

"I knew Eduardo for three years, he was a very proper person.

They refused to give him Ukrainian citizenship, something was frozen.

We offered to bring a bribe, but he categorically refused, he did not want to go to any nefarious provocations.

He is a very experienced warrior, responsible, has a lot of knowledge and skills.

Many contractors didn't even know how to do that," says

Ivan "Coyote"

.

Aleksandar Malchanov adds that Lobov carefully studied military affairs.

"He was trained in the special forces, these are the standards of NATO countries.

In battles, he acted competently, decisively and courageously.

It seemed that he did not feel fear at all," says Malchanov.

"Distributed homemade leaflets in the army"

Lobov joined the "Young Front" in 2010 quite by chance.

When he served in the Vitebsk landing force,

Andrus Tsianyuta

, a young frontman from Goml, got there .

"I spoke Belarusian.

Perhaps Edik was interested in it.

He has always been a patriot, but he has not yet encountered anything national.

He served six months older than me.

When I was put on guard duty, Eduard made leaflets on his own and pasted them on the territory of the military unit and near it.

He wrote that it is enough to endure military atrocities.

When I left the "lip", he was taken right there," says Tianyuta.

The guy says that Lobov was always interested in military matters, he perfectly knew all the characteristics of weapons.

It is noteworthy that after the incident with the police station, the company commander deprived Eduard of the opportunity to jump with a parachute.

But, on the contrary, they tried in every way to interest Tianyuta in the service.

"They gave me the opportunity to shoot from everything, there were also jumps... When I came from Goml to Minsk (it was in the morning, at 5-6 o'clock), Eduard always met me at the station.

We went out together, occasionally sat in cafes, because there was no money.

He showed me Minsk, his favorite places," says Tianyuta.

"Sought to stop evil"

Ivan "Coyote" says that he asked Lobov why he came from Belarus to fight in Ukraine.

"He said that we are close nations.

And we have one enemy.

I know that he dreamed of resigning from the army, getting Ukrainian citizenship, building a house.

He believed in an ideal society, defended its principles.

We didn't even know that there was a Wikipedia page about Eduard.

He never bragged about it, he was modest," says Ivan.

Aleksandar Malchanov adds that Eduard saw what evil Russia brings not only to Ukraine, but also to all the countries of Eastern Europe.

"That's why he tried his best to stop this evil," says the brother.

Awards of Eduard Lobov

All Svoboda's interlocutors claim that Eduard was not afraid of death.

It would be more unpleasant for him to be captured so that he could be extradited to Belarus.

He participated in the battles for the liberation of the Kyiv region, then he was in Chernobyl.

"He said about his wife that he is not planning yet, because it is difficult during the service.

We are all the time in some kind of "dumps", landfills.

He said, well, what normal woman will wait for a man whom she sees a maximum of 15 days a year?

I know that he had a small apartment in Khmelnytskyi, but he lived almost all the time in the barracks," says Ivan.

Eduard Lobau

Eduard Lobau became at least the 19th Belarusian volunteer who died since the beginning of the large-scale war, defending the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
