In a message from the opposition VMRO-DPMNE party in the Republic of North Macedonia, the country's Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski and President Stevo Pendarovski are accused that by "not revealing the agency networks and financiers of the Bulgarian clubs, they are working directly for them".

"Following Pendarovski's statement after the Security Council that intelligence networks are behind the hate speech and the created anti-Macedonian sentiments, Pendarovski must say who motivates and creates a negative attitude and negation towards (the Republic of Northern) Macedonia, the language, the history and the nation.

Pendarovski and Kovachevski are obliged to protect the citizens (of North Macedonia) and to inform as soon as possible about everything they know and which is harmful to the state regarding the relations with Bulgaria", the statement of the opposition party reads.

Macedonian Bulgarians in Brussels: Europe will not accept violence

The VMRO-DPMNE state that for months the country's institutions have not taken measures against hate speech and "allow the denial of the nation and history."

They demand that the government clarify "the origin of the money with which the Bulgarian clubs are financed" through the financial institutions.

"Instead of appearing as commentators, Kovachevski and Pendarovski should take legal action so that the denial of the state, the nation and the language is not allowed," reads the message of VMRO-DPMNE.
