The process of release from captivity or handing over the bodies of fallen heroes depends only on negotiations with the opposite party, the aggressor Russia.

Any public events, the transfer of data about missing relatives to unofficial Internet resources can harm this process.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.

"Sometimes, by unconscious actions, citizens can harm the negotiation process, and in the worst case, their loved ones too. Enemy special services, which are trying to sow discord in our society, can be behind the incitement in the chat rooms where the relatives of the missing and captured communicate. For Ukraine, every missing or a captured defender is equally valuable. We are fighting and will fight for the return of each of them!" said Oleg Kotenko, the commissioner of missing persons.

The Ministry of Reintegration noted that public events, in particular holding actions, publications in the media, will not speed up the process of release from captivity or handing over the bodies of fallen heroes.

Negotiations with the opposite party are decisive in this case.

"Do not give any data to strangers, as well as to unofficial Internet resources. Trust only official structures that do everything so that you can see your relatives as soon as possible," the message reads.

It will be recalled that on January 14, when the Russian Federation carried out a massive terrorist missile attack on Ukrainian cities, an exchange of prisoners was supposed to take place.

But the Russian side

refused to carry out the exchange

without giving reasons.
