Within the framework of his visit to Turkey, Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze held a tripartite meeting with Azerbaijan's Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov and Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar in Kars.

APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports that the information was released by the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.

It was reported that the defense ministers discussed issues of cooperation in the field of regional development and defense:

"At the meeting, attention was drawn to the importance of joint military training and exercises that bring the militaries of all three countries closer to each other and strengthen mutual operational capabilities. The importance of a tripartite cooperation format in the field of defense serving the security and stability of the region was noted," the Georgian Defense Ministry said.
