"Azeristiliktehizat" OJSC has started installation of heat and hot water meters in order to increase production and operational efficiency, improve the accounting system, as well as stimulate the efficient use of heat energy and modernize its activities.
According to the information provided by "Azeristiliktehizat" OJSC to "APA-Economics", the process of purchasing 60 heat meters for this purpose has been completed and installation for non-resident subscribers will be ensured within the pilot project.
As a result of the project, the resource and financial demand for the production and supply of thermal energy for heating and hot water purposes will be determined more precisely, the quality of service will be improved, the production process will be more efficiently organized, and it will be possible to create a solid basis for increasing consumer satisfaction.
In addition, additional measures are being taken regarding hot water supply metering, and for the renewal of existing hot water meters, an agreement was signed with the only local meter manufacturer in Azerbaijan, "Ganja Appliance Plant" OJSC, to purchase 3,500 hot water meters in accordance with the law, and work on the renewal of the meters has already begun. .
Currently, in cases where heat meters are not installed, heat supply services for population consumers per 1 square meter of living area of the apartment, for non-population consumers per 1 cubic meter of construction volume of the building, determined by the decision of the Tariff (Price) Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 04 dated November 24, 2011 calculated with tariffs.
