During the meeting, they discussed "intensification of sanctions pressure on the regime and assistance to Belarusians in the struggle for the restoration of legality and democratic changes in Belarus," the Cabinet reported.

Recently, Robin Dunnigan also met with

Svetlana Tikhanovskaya

in Vilnius and said that the United States will appoint a special envoy to Belarus who will work with the democratic movement.

During the official meeting, among other things, there was talk of creating a new proactive strategy for Belarus, as well as the possibility of holding an intergovernmental meeting of partner countries that support democratic forces.

It is assumed that the new strategy could include measures to protect the independence of Belarus and the withdrawal of Russian troops, further isolation of the Lukashenka regime and support for democratic changes.
