Information on the legislative activity and parliamentary control of the 48th National Assembly was sent to the media by the press center of the parliament.

Legislative activity

During its mandate, the 48th National Assembly adopted 53 laws, 90 decisions and two declarations.

This is indicated by a report for the period from October 19, 2022 to February 2, 2023, prepared by the "Plenary meetings, parliamentary control and final texts" directorate of the National Assembly and the parliamentary press center.

The Parliament had 50 plenary sessions, 8 of which were extraordinary.

A total of 205 draft laws were submitted to the 48th National Assembly, 134 of which were introduced by representatives of the people.

During the mandate, 141 draft decisions were submitted to the parliament, of which 122 were from people's representatives, as well as 7 projects for addresses and declarations.

During its second session (from January 4 to February 2, 2023), the 48th National Assembly held 16 plenary sessions, two of which were extraordinary.

During this period, the deputies adopted 29 laws, 32 decisions and a Declaration in connection with the escalating aggressive anti-Bulgarian manifestations in the Republic of North Macedonia.

Parliamentary control

In the 48th National Assembly, 1321 questions were asked and 57 questions were asked.

Parliamentary control was conducted in 6 plenary sessions for the Friday parliamentary control and in 5 extraordinary sessions.

Blitzcontrol was held in 3 meetings, where 35 questions were asked by people's representatives from all parliamentary groups.

The parliamentary time used to carry out the control function of the National Assembly for the mandate is 66 hours and 36 minutes.

In this period, the forms of parliamentary control used are questions and questions, hearings and blitz control.

11 hearings were held under Art.

111 of the Rules for the Organization and Activities of the National Assembly.

Of the questions asked, 1,050 were answered in writing, and 271 were answered orally.

Of the questions, 24 were answered in writing, and 33 were answered orally.

1130 questions and 43 questions were answered, and 34 questions and 5 questions were withdrawn.

The largest number of questions and queries during the mandate were submitted by people's representatives from the PG "Democratic Bulgaria" - 361 questions and 14 queries.

331 questions and 17 questions were asked by the PG "We continue the change", from PG GERB-SDS - 232 questions and 6 questions, from PG "Vazrazhdane" - 157 questions and 11 questions.

153 questions and 6 questionnaires were submitted by the PG of "BSP for Bulgaria";

from the PG "Bulgarian Rise" - 74 questions and from the PG of the DPS - 30 questions and 3 questionnaires.

In the second session, 387 questions and 7 questionnaires were asked, and there were 3 hearings.

Parliamentary control was conducted in two Friday plenary sessions and in one extraordinary session, once there was a blitz control - where 13 questions were asked.

The parliamentary time used for the implementation of the control function of the National Assembly is 17 hours and 40 minutes.

Of the questions asked, 358 were answered in writing, and 29 were answered orally.

259 questions were answered and 9 were withdrawn.

Of the questions asked, 3 were written and 4 were oral.

Two questions were answered and two were withdrawn.

The most questions and inquiries in the second session were submitted by people's representatives from the PG of "Democratic Bulgaria", who asked 116 questions and one question.

97 questions and 3 questions were asked by the PG "We continue the change", 60 questions by the PG GERB-SDS, 48 questions and two questions by the PG "Vazrazhdane", 45 questions by the PG "BSP for Bulgaria" Bulgarian rise" - 19 questions, from the PG of the DPS - 7 questions and one question.
