Energy is not only the issue of Romanian-Azerbaijani relations, but the issue at the center of the world agenda as a whole.

For many years, the Azerbaijani oil company SOCAR has been operating in Romania, with more than 70 gas stations and several fuel depots.

APA informs that the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this in a statement to the press together with the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis.

Stating that SOCAR's activity in Romania has a very good history, the head of state emphasized that now our cooperation is entering a new stage: "While in Bucharest, an agreement on the delivery of natural gas to Romania was signed.

Thus, Azerbaijani gas will reach a new address in the European space, and in parallel, using Romanian facilities, Azerbaijani gas will be transported to other European countries."
