New Delhi:

The Delhi Prisons Department has recovered more than 340 mobile phones from inside the jails in the last two and a half months.

An official gave this information on Thursday.

Director General (Prisons) Sanjay Beniwal told reporters that the jail authorities recovered 348 mobile phones in two-and-a-half months. He said, “Jail officials raided jail number three on Wednesday and seized 18 mobile phones and chargers.

In the last two months, the jail authorities seized 348 mobile phones.”

Beniwal told, “The jail superintendents started raids after getting intelligence inside the jails.

Due to this, the criminal world is now getting a strong message.
