We note that Azerbaijan's representative offices in a number of other countries have also faced security problems in recent months.

We reiterate our support for the security of all diplomatic missions.

We remind the Iranian government of its responsibility to protect foreign diplomats in Iran in accordance with the Vienna Convention," said Michael Carpenter.

It should be noted that there was an armed attack on the embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran on January 27, around 8:30 am.

As a result, the head of the security service of the embassy, ​​Orkhan Askerov, was martyred, and two of his employees were injured.
