[Reporter Wu Baixuan/Taipei Report] Lithuanian Ministry of Education, Science and Sports and National Academy of Sciences and other high-level officials were invited to visit the National Science Council in Taiwan today (2nd). Chairman Wu Zhengzhong of the National Science Council expressed his sincere welcome and hoped to deepen Bilateral exchanges, such as conferences focusing on biomedicine, laser and other scientific and technological fields, including CRISPR gene editing technology and laser crystal technology, etc., will gradually expand the scale of cooperation by selecting and sending talents and exchanges in the future.

At the invitation of Wu Zhengzhong, high-level Liguo officials visited Taiwan from the 2nd to the 8th. The two sides held a bilateral scientific research cooperation meeting today. Wu Zhengzhong expressed his welcome in a speech, and mentioned that he had visited Lithuania in October last year and was deeply impressed by its basic scientific research achievements. He hoped to take this opportunity to further strengthen the global scientific research layout of the two governments. Among the members of the Lithuanian delegation, the Distinguished Professor Sikhsinis is the most famous contemporary biochemist in the country. He was awarded the Lithuanian National Science Award in 2001.
