Russia has not applied for assistance from the CSTO.

APA's Moscow correspondent reports that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this in an interview with "Rossiya24" channel.

Responding to the question about the possibility of the CSTO countries helping Russia during the war with the West in Ukraine, Lavrov noted that his country did not apply to the CSTO with such a request:

"It is written there (in the CTMT agreement - ed) that at the request of one of the participating states... We have not addressed anyone with such a request.

We believe that we have everything we need to carry out the tasks of a special military operation, to end the war waged by the West through the regime in Ukraine.

Yes, we see that the whole NATO is fighting against us.

Their "we don't fight, we arm" talk is funny.

According to experts' assessments, it is impossible for Ukrainians to control the weapons and military technical systems supplied to Ukraine.

It is impossible to learn how to manage these systems in two to three months.

And we solve the issues ourselves.

We have not appealed to anyone.

I will not analyze why we did not apply now.

We simply do not need this," the Russian Foreign Minister emphasized.

Lavrov recalled that in January of last year, the CSTO reacted within a day after the request of the President of Kazakhstan, as well as that the CSTO was ready to send a peacekeeping mission to Armenia after the incident on the Armenian-Azerbaijan border in September of last year.
