[Reporter Lai Xiaotong/New Taipei Report] New Taipei Mayor Hou Youyi attended the Executive Yuan meeting today, exchanging views with the new cabinet minister Chen Jianren, various ministries and commissions, and other heads of the five capitals. In addition to putting forward suggestions on land planning, he also sought support from the central government for major transportation construction in New Taipei City. It is hoped that the central and local governments will cooperate in the future to establish a window for rapid communication.

Chen Kui instructed Zheng Wencan, vice president of the Executive Yuan, to act as a window to coordinate local and inter-ministerial issues.

Hou Youyi said at the meeting that the central government and the local government must fully cooperate, regardless of ethnic groups, you and me, or party affiliation, to improve administrative efficiency and quickly respond to solve problems. He hopes that in the future, not only discussions will be held through the Executive Yuan, but also between the heads of ministries and councils and the county and city governments. Quick communication and effective problem solving; just like the transportation cooperation between North and North Kitao, staff work has already started. In the future, the platform will be used to solve the traffic problems in the common living circle of North Taiwan, so that the north and Taiwan will benefit together and Taiwan will benefit together.

Hou Youyi, Taoyuan Mayor Zhang Shanzheng, Taichung Mayor Lu Xiuyan, and Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Qimai all proposed that the overall tax distribution needs a comprehensive review. Hou Youyi said that New Taipei City has a population of 4 million, the largest in the country, but the resources obtained by New Taipei City residents in the overall tax distribution are limited. The six cities are the least. I hope the central government will rethink the allocation of resources and treat the citizens of New Taipei fairly.

In response to the Ministry of the Interior's promotion of the new land planning system, Hou Youyi said that New Taipei City supports the sustainable development of the land, and at the same time, it should take into account the aspirations of the general public. The New Taipei City Government has held 29 public hearings to promote the land plan. There are doubts about the land being designated as a land conservation area. Questions have been raised about the age-old announcements and maps of environmentally sensitive areas that the zoning is based on. The on-site survey was not conducted during the demarcation, and the scope was not reviewed in a timely manner, resulting in a gap with the actual situation.

Hou Youyi believes that the impact of the delineation of land conservation areas is a national issue, and he recommends that the central government complete the formulation of land use control and allowable items in the national land plan as soon as possible, compare the differences between the old and new laws, and actively explain the impact to the public to resolve doubts , safeguard the rights and interests of the general public, and strike a balance between land sustainability and economic development.

In addition, after the meeting, the Executive Yuan arranged a tea ceremony. Taipei Mayor Jiang Wanan raised the issue of the subsidy ratio of MRT fares. Hou Youyi called on the central government to understand the financial difficulties of the localities, instead of the central and local governments each paying half, and the subsidy is only allocated for 3 years. Too short, I hope the central government will reconsider the scale of subsidies and give local support as much as possible.

Regarding the track construction in New Taipei City, Hou Youyi said that the Ankeng light rail is about to open to traffic, the Wutai light rail is fully promoted, and the Wugu interchange has successfully completed the contract. All major transportation constructions rely on the continued support of the central government.

The heads of the six capitals were invited to attend the meeting of the Executive Yuan. Zheng Wencan (left), the vice president of the Executive Yuan, will serve as the window between the Executive Yuan and local governments in the future.
