[Reporter Zhang Xuanzhe/Taichung Report] A lost green turtle ran aground on the beach in front of the Wenliao Lighthouse in Daan, Taichung City the day before yesterday (1st). It was found by officers from the Wenliao Security Checkpoint of the Coast Guard when they searched the beach, and they immediately sent personnel to carry it with them. The rescue barrel was disposed of at the scene, and at the same time contacted the Chinese Whale Association and the Fourth Workstation of the Marine Conservation Administration to send personnel to coordinate the initial inspection of the green sea turtle. (2nd) The green sea turtle was sent to Taoyuan Xpark Metropolitan Aquatic Park for medical examination.

After the development and changes of the coastline of Taiwan's main island in recent years, green sea turtles were mainly found in Penghu, Lanyu and other outlying islands. The staff of the Wenliao Security Checkpoint conducted a beach search the evening before yesterday and found a stranded turtle on the beach in front of the Wenliao Lighthouse.
