Russia will not be able to repeat the same large-scale offensive on the territory of Ukraine as it was on February 24, 2022, but Putin is likely to demand that the occupiers seize Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Military expert, deputy director of the Army, Conversion and Disarmament Research Center Mykhailo Samus said this in a commentary on Channel 24.

A military expert believes that such a large-scale offensive, as it was on February 24, will not happen again.

However, Russia may try to enter the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Also, according to Samus, there will be no threat of an offensive from Belarus for another 2-3 weeks.

"What Russia really wants is to capture Donbas as soon as possible, because Putin has no more time, he can't wait. In particular, he can't wait until February 24, because he needs to speak before the federal assembly," he said. Myself

The expert explained that Russia is concentrating large forces in the Bakhmut area, in the Vugledar and Lyman directions.

"They constantly repeat the same approaches. Either the "mongoose jump", then to seize Donbas, then they have generally idiotic ideas, such as, for example, destroying the energy infrastructure and thus breaking Ukraine and the West, and then trying to seize the initiative again." , said Samus.

Russia's war against Ukraine

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale offensive on the territory of Ukraine.

On the same day, Russian dictator Putin announced "special operations for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine."

The tyrant also appealed to the Armed Forces to "lay down their arms and go home."

The occupiers planned to seize Kyiv and establish their puppet government in the capital, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces thwarted dictator Putin's plans.
