Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, called on the Georgian authorities not to kill Mikheil Saakashvili "on the air" and to send him to Ukraine for treatment.

Podolyak wrote about this on Twitter.

The adviser to the OP chairman expressed his readiness to personally come to Georgia and pick up Saakashvili.

"Any president is a person. But also an institution. A country that allows itself the assassination of its ex-leader on live television is committing a historical sin that will be difficult to wash away. Don't let this happen. Release Mikheil Saakashvili for treatment. Ready to come personally take it away. Do it," wrote Podolyak.

It will be recalled that Saakashvili secretly arrived in Georgia on September 29, 2021.
