[Reporter Zhan Shihong/Yunlin Report] There is a nearly 50-year-old bridge in Linmao Village, Linnei. The local area has been trying to rebuild it for many years. After the township office worked hard to coordinate with the River Bureau and private landowners, there were still twists and turns. Finally, the Jiayi Charity Group agreed To assist in the reconstruction, more than 10 million yuan will be spent to build the new bridge. The construction time will be about 8 months. However, due to the construction period spanning the flood control season, there are uncertain factors, and it is expected to be completed before the end of the year at the earliest.

The Maoxing Bridge was built in 1976, and the bridge is 47 years old. The local area tried to rebuild it many years ago. With the efforts of the former township head Zhang Weizheng, he won the support of the River Bureau and private landowners. Affected by price fluctuations, the design and manufacturing process has been passed 10 times. Finally, the Jiayi Charity Group agreed to assist in taking over, and the groundbreaking ceremony was held today.

The old Maoxing Bridge was 25.5 meters long and 4.7 meters wide. The original design was rebuilt into a new bridge with a width of 8 meters. However, because it did not match the width of the existing road, it was finally changed to a width of 6 meters. Two piers were replaced by one. The bridge deck was raised by 31 centimeters, and the project cost was about 14.39 million yuan. The main bridge was funded by the Jiayi Charity Group.

The construction period of the bridge is about 8 months, but because the utility poles and tap water and other related facilities near the bridge have not been relocated, and the flood control season will enter after April, the Qianxi River where the Maoxing Bridge is located is the so-called "Leigong River". Heavy thunderstorms may cause flash floods and streams to soar. After entering summer, the difficulty of construction will increase, so the evaluation can be completed before the end of the year at the earliest.
