If you've ever experienced low blood sugar, you know how important it is to keep it under control.

There are ways to restore balance by following certain dietary and drinking habits.

According to the federal agency of the US Department of Health, if there is a need to increase the level of glucose, the rule of nutrition No. 1 is used. It is called "15-15".

If your blood sugar is below 70 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL), eat 15 g of sugar;

wait 15 minutes, then measure your blood sugar again.

The importance of raising low blood sugar

Most of the time when people experience low blood sugar, it is for one or all of three reasons.

  • missed a meal;

  • overate sweets or carbohydrates;

  • not enough proteins were found

In all cases, blood sugar levels can drop, leading to lethargy and fatigue.

Other symptoms of low blood sugar may include:

  • headache,

  • dizziness,

  • a feeling of trembling

In addition to these symptoms, low blood sugar or hypoglycemia can also lead to more serious side effects.

If left untreated, you may experience blurred vision, slurred speech, numbness and drowsiness, as well as trouble concentrating and confusion.

In worse cases, continuing to ignore low levels can cause your brain to starve due to insufficient glucose.

This can potentially lead to seizures and coma.

Recall that overeating, excess weight or systematic stress can increase glucose levels and lead to undesirable symptoms such as fatigue and impaired vision.
