European officials in Brussels announced that the new goal is to train 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers in EU countries.

Until now, the goal was to train about 15,000 soldiers.

This is reported by Die Welt.

So, in November, the ministers of foreign affairs of the EU member states decided to start the training mission.

At that time, it was said that initially up to 15 thousand Ukrainian military personnel should undergo training in Germany, Poland and other EU countries.

According to the initial plans, Germany wanted to train up to 5,000 Ukrainian soldiers in the first few months.

However, this number should depend on how many servicemen of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine can go for training in view of the war.

We will remind you that Poland wants to reduce the training time of the Ukrainian military on Leopard 2 battle tanks to five weeks instead of ten.
