On February 1, the delegation headed by Shamil Ayrim, the head of the Turkey-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), visited the Alley of Honor, the Alley of Martyrs and the "Turkish Martyrdom" monument.

According to the information given to APA by the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis, the delegation came to the Alley of Honor and commemorated Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of our people, the architect and founder of the modern independent state of Azerbaijan, with deep respect and laid flowers on his grave.

Then the delegation visited the Alley of Martyrs, paid respect to the memory of the heroic children of the Motherland who died in the struggle for the freedom and sovereignty of our country, laid flowers on their graves, and visited the "Eternal Torch" monument.

Guests watching the view of the capital of Azerbaijan from the highest point of Baku were given detailed information about the history of Martyrs' Alley and the improvement and construction works carried out in our city.

The delegation also visited the "Turkish Martyrdom" monument erected in memory of the martyred Turkish soldiers who died in the battles for the liberation of Baku in 1918.

Bunches of flowers were placed in front of the monument.

During the visit, the delegation was accompanied by the head of the Azerbaijan-Turkey inter-parliamentary relations working group of the Milli Majlis, Ahliman Amiraslanov, and other officials.
