Hurt Finance Minister Sitharaman presenting the budget

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the Budget 2023-24 in the Parliament House.

Before presenting the budget, the Finance Minister and officials of the Finance Ministry had met President Draupadi Murmu.

The President approved the budget.

During this, he said many important things.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the budget for the fifth consecutive time. 

Important information related to the case:

  • Income tax exemption limit increased to Rs 7 lakh in new tax regime: Sitharaman

  • Government aims to produce 5 million tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030: Finance Minister

  • Proposal to remove the minimum TDS limit of Rs 10,000 for online gaming: Sitharaman.

  • Customs duty on open sale components of television reduced to 2.5%: Sitharaman.

  • In 2022, the number of digital transactions increased by 76 percent, its value increased by 91 percent, fiscal support will continue.

  • Proposal to amend the Banking Regulation Act, RBI Act to improve the functioning of banks.
