Polish President Andrzej Duda proposes to develop an agreement on providing Ukraine with security guarantees from NATO and to do it before the Alliance summit in the summer of 2023.

This is reported by dorzeczy.pl.

Duda emphasized that the Ukrainian army should receive enough equipment from its partners to be able to stop the Russian offensive and return the occupied territories.

The Polish leader emphasized that this is "the most important task today."

"Before the summit in Vilnius, together with our partners, we would like to

work out an agreement with our allies in the form of providing Ukraine with specific security guarantees from NATO

," said Duda.

He called it a further step in the process of strengthening Ukraine's security in view of its future accession to the Alliance.

We will remind you that in mid-January, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that today there is not enough rhetoric about NATO's "open door" for the state.

Therefore, Ukraine expects real steps from the Alliance at the summer summit in Vilnius.

According to Vadym Prystayk, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain, the country can join NATO and the EU after winning the war with Russia.
