Kherson is the most intensively shelled city outside of Donbas.

APA reports that this was stated in the information of the Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain.

"In recent days, some of the most intense bombings in the war in southern Ukraine took place along the Dnieper River. Russia continued to shell Kherson from the east of the river," the Intelligence Service said.

The Intelligence Service, citing Ukrainian sources, recalled that on January 29, as a result of the bombing of Russian forces, three more civilians were killed in Kherson, and two foreign ships parked in the river were damaged and caused an oil leak.

"Kherson remains the most heavily shelled major city in Ukraine outside the Donbass. The exact reason for Russia's spending of munitions there is unclear.

However, these attacks are likely to be partly to affect civilian morale and deter any Ukrainian counter-offensives along the Dnieper River. aims to prevent," the Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Defense said.
